SONG FOR
PEACE
Tina Randolph, assistant to CEO Larry Heard,
Margaret Coles and Kenze Beyer, organizer of this outreach for
Transwestern Commercial Services, are putting together care
packages for troops overseas through the Sing for Peace
program. According to West University Place resident Dona
Jaschke, a representative for Sing for Peace, the organization
was started by Coles, a grandmother of twin Marines. When
Coles discovered her grandsons were being deployed to Iraq,
she spoke with several Marine mothers and learned about the
need for care packages. Coles and her sister have built a Web
site, www.singforpeace.com, that explains guidelines and a
list of items that can be sent to troops. Transwestern’s
donations have accounted for more than 100 such
parcels.
